With consumer-directed services, also known as CDS, YOU are the one in charge of YOUR care. CDS is a Medicaid-funded program that enables you to hire the caregiver of your choice to help with daily activities. This personal care attendant (PCA) can be a friend, neighbor, or family member (other than spouse). Your caregiver can help you clean, cook, bathe, dress, run errands, and take you to appointments.

  • YOU Control the training your attendant receives for YOUR individual needs
